As with virtually all 3rd party lithium batteries the seller’s spec’s are lies. Given this i am not too disappointed, but it is frustrating. Here are the specs on these versus some genuine batteries for comparison (all measured at the same current the same cut-off voltage)
Dewalt dcb201 (this is fairly old) rated 1.5amp hours. Measured .9ah. Weighs 350g
Dewalt dcb204 rated 4 amp hours. Measured 3.7ah. Weighs 615g
Vanon generic rated 6 ah. Measured 2.6ah. Weighs 600g
This product rated 8.4 ah lol. Measured 2.8ah. Weighs 565g
Notes: weight is a useful indicator, but not 100%. I have not opened the vanon unit. It may have weights inside.
See photos. This is 5 serial 2 parallel design. If they actual cells met their printed 3000mah rating the pack would be 6ah not 8.4. Both the cell and the battery pack manufacturers are liars!
Other than not meeting the specs the quality is fine and work well. Rounded up to 3ah it is still reasonable for the price. Caveat emptor.

I test batteries, and this is only a 3 ah batter not 8.4 ah; so be away when buying. I charged the battery in a dewalt battery charger, verified to be 20v, and set test up for 7 amp draw down to 15 volts shutoff. False advertisement. I have other 6 ah batteries that are true, this one is fake. However i want to say the product looks like high quality plastics and shipping.was fast. Make sure you test your, i could have had a bad batch…. if you have 8.4 ah battery from a different vendor please post your review… we need to get these suppliers to be more honest on their capacity
